
Hummus soup
A homemade Hummus Soup recipe perfect for Autumn events. This Middle Eastern dish is gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan. It contains vitamins and minerals from ingredients like chickpeas and turmeric.
Ingredients

water
4 cups

olive oil
4 Tbsps

canned garbanzo beans
3 cans

sesame seeds
6 Tbsps

garlic
3 cloves

lemon juice
2 cups

ground cumin
2 tsps

turmeric
2 tsps

madras curry powder
4 tsps

ground cinnamon
4 tsps

salt and pepper

Method
- Place water into a medium-sized pot. Chop up the garlic and add it to the pot, cover, and let boil for 10-15 minutes.
- Add the chickpeas and tahini, along with the salt, pepper, cumin, curry, cinnamon, and tumeric and let cook for another 20 minutes. Turn off the flame and blend (either with a hand blender or regular one). Top off with various seasonings and a drizzle of tahini for a garnish.
